Today, a Fredericton, NB company announces the formation of a new business entity to be known as First Mobile Education. With this announcement, First Mobile Education will create a centre of excellence around the delivery of content online using ClevrU Corporation’s next generation technology and pedagogy for emerging markets.

Bill Hutchison Chair of i-Canada, John Jung CEO Canada’s Technology Triangle, Claude Martel Executive Director of the Canadian e-Learning Enterprise Alliance (CeLEA) and John Reid President and CEO Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA) were all on hand to witness the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Stellar Learning Strategies and ClevrU Corporation at the recent i- Canada National Summit held at George Brown College in Toronto the 3rd and 4th of June, 2013.
Claude Martel CeLEA hosted a presentation by First Mobile Education during the CeLEA AGM at the i-Canada National Summit and commented, “First Mobile Education is a powerful example of using next generation mobile technology to address global opportunities for organizations and all levels of government across Canada. It’s all about recognizing the opportunity and working as a team to make it happen.”
John Jung CEO Canada’s Technology Triangle, Chairman & Co-Founder of ICF introduced ClevrU and the City of Waterloo to i-Canada and the Intelligent Community Forum. He was very excited to see the rapid connections take place at the Summit. ”We work for years to lay the foundation for a successful transition to an Intelligent Community. Watching ClevrU, a Waterloo based company, as it develops its world class learning platform and embraces opportunities to create new revenue streams for traditional educators has provided a catalyst for change with the creation of First Mobile Education with Gary Stairs of Stellar Learning Strategies. The centre of excellence will operate out of a historic courthouse building, mLAB Canada (http://www.mlabcanada.com), on the riverfront in Fredericton and will help convert existing online content using ClevrU’s mobile, intelligent, adaptive and multilingual e-teaching technology. It will also work to create new ongoing courses based on emerging market demand.
The centre will seek new revenue opportunities for educators, universities and colleges by fulfilling the educational needs of emerging markets and will attract new students to come and study in the region. It will create new globally competitive jobs for Atlantic Canada, and will put our provinces further on the world stage as global leaders in the delivery of online education.
